The story revolves around the life of a 34-year-old independent woman,Saanchi (played by Sangeeta Ghosh) who struggles to manage her deceased father's strawberry farm in Panchgani.〔http://www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/television/sangeeta-bijlani-returns-with-kehta-hai-dil-jee-le-zara/article1-1105182.aspx〕 Her only focus is to secure future of her two siblings and take care of her two grandmother's. A man or marriage is not on her agenda, but as they say – destiny works in mysterious ways and in walks Dhruv Goel aka DV (played by Ruslaan Mumtaz) a 27-year-old charming and wealthy lawyer who is a breath of fresh air in Saanchi's life.DV has came for holiday from Mumbai to Panchgani and staying as paying guest in house of Saanchi's neighbour and friend Dilshad(played by Delnaaz Paul). Saanchi finds Dhruv very irritating in the beginning but later two of them become very good friends. DV falls in love with Saanchi during her younger sister Prachi's marriage with her boyfriend Sunil and realises his love for Saanchi. While Rishi Prachi's mother in-law's brother also falls in love with Saanchi but has bad intentions. Dv feels extremely sad. They both are about to get engaged while DV reveals the truth to Saanchi about Rishi.Saanchi refuses to alliance with Rishi.Sunil and Prachi get married. Saanchi elder cousin brother Pradeep who wants to get her strawberry farmland and sell it to a rich industrialist files case against her. DV goes with Saanchi to court in Pune.Saanchi is losing against her brother gets depressed.Seeing her in this state DV tries to console her and unknowingly confesses his love.Shocked by this truth Saanchi misunderstands DV and assumes that he is using her to take adavantage of her. DV refuses but Saanchi leaves form there and returns to Panchgani.DV promises to her that he will make her realise that she too loves him.DV is trying his best to convince Saanchi but Saanchi keeps refusing. DV decides leave Panchgani and return to Mumbai.Saanchi stops him and realises and confesses her love to DV.Romantic moments take place between Sacchi and DV Ulka Kaku ( one of saachi's neighbour ) notices it . She informs tis matter to Nani and Ajji . Hearing this nani and ajji get enraged and insults DV .On the suggesion of ulka kaku they fix saanchies marriage with a man of 50 years . Angry DV insults ajji for making saachi marry a 50-year-old man.Seeing that saachi angrily tells DV to leave prabhu niwas.Heartbroken, DV prepares to leave panchgani.On his way to leave panchgani, DV sees some goons standing in front of prabhu niwas insults saachi's character and ask among themselves if she would also sleep with them as she had a relationship with a young man(means DV).After listening to them, DV has a massive fight with them.Saachi, ajji, nani, advait and dilshad comes out from their respective houses and watches the fight, ajji holds saachi's hand tight so that she cannot help DV and to get close to him.DV succeeds to give a good lesson to the goons and they run away from there.He tells advait that in future if someone insults saachi or tells some bad words about her then he must call him.DV starts to leave panchgani and everyone begs ajji to leave saachi's hand.Ajji finally leaves saachi's hand and she stops DV from leaving panchgani.Afterwards romantic moments happen between DV and saachi.That night DV's mother gets a call from Mr Ram Kapoor(from the serial Bade Acche Lagte Hain) inviting their family for his daughter, peehu's birthday party.DV's mother tells him to attend the party.DV convinces ajji and nani to take saachi with him to the party.The next episode of Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara is included with Bade Acche Lagte Hain episode 530.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Bade Acche Lagte Hain - Episode 530 - 6th December 2013 (Mahamilan with Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara) )〕 DV and saachi leave for Mumbai for peehu's birthday party.Mr kapoor gave a grand party for his daughter.DV's childhood friend Ankita meets him in the party and saachi also meets her and also tells her to come to panchgani to meet DV.She realises that ankita loves DV.DV's mother, nina gives him a surprise by coming to the party.Later saachi meets DV's mother and she is shocked when she hears from her that she is planning to make ankita DV's bride.She gets very upset and leaves the party, DV goes behind her and asks her the reason for her leave from the party.Saachi tells DV nothing and suddenly ankita comes to the scene and tells DV to drop her home.Saachi insists DV to drop her home.After dropping ankita to her home Saachi's mood gets worse and after DV shouts at saachi to know the reason she tells him the truth that his mother had told her.DV and saachi come back to panchgani.DV tells saachi that he only loves her and not ankita and very soon he will tell about them to his family.After two days suddenly Ankita comes to panchgani.Saachi gets very upset seeing ankita getting close to DV.One day ankita got lost in the woods of panchgani where she told DV to meet her but DV forgot to meet her.DV, saachi and dilshad search for her and they find ankita.DV tells the relationship of his and saachi.Ankita gets upset knowing it because she eternally loves DV and leaves panchgani.Before leaving panchgani she tells saachi about DV's old girlfriends and affairs.Saachi gets very upset and fears if DV breaks her trust and run away from her.DV after knowing this also gets very upset and does not talk to saachi.Saachi makes a plan in the evening the next day to convince DV.She looks beautiful in a red saree and she convinces DV.Romantic moments take place between them.The next day which is the New Year's Eve, pradeep calls DV to make him meet with the rich industrialist.It is seen that the rich industrialist is DV's own elder brother.DV begs him to get off from this case as he loves saachi and tells him that he will convince their father as buying Saachi's land and making it a hospital is his father's dream.DV comes to know that the company from which his brother and his father are trying to buy the land from saachi, he is the co-owner of that company named prithvi enterprises and is shocked to know it.He tries to tell the truth about him and his family to saachi on new year but fails to tell her in all attempts.The next day pradeep tells the truth of DV to sunil.Sunil tells prachi to tell the truth to saachi.Prachi comes to prabhu niwas and tells the truth to saachi in front of DV.DV tries to explain himself to saachi but she misunderstands him,gives the engagement ring back to him and goes to her room and cries continuously.DV promises ajji and nani that he will convince his father to get away from the case and accept saachi as his bride.DV reaches Mumbai and convinces his father Yashwardhan Goel,the shrude and successful businessman.Yash said a yes for saachi making a plan in his mind.DV takes saachi and advait to meet yash in their office as he said that he would meet saachi only in tye office.He tells DV and advait to go out of the room as he would talk to saachi alone.Yash offered saachi Rs 20 Crore and told her to leave DV forever and also he will not take her land.Saachi gives him a strong answer and tells him that for her DV is priceless and leaves the room.DV after knowing it asks Yash that why did he did this with saachi, yash(cleverly answering) tells DV that it was a test for her.Yash apologises to saachi telling her that it was a test for her and she has passed it with flying colours.He also includes that he has invited the whole family to dinner in DV's fav restaurant to meet saachi.Saachi meets the whole family but DV's mother talks to her alone.She tells her that if saachi marries DV then there will always be a war between DV and his elder brother anway and she will be the biggest loss of yash.She tells her to leave DV forever.Saachi takes a cheque of Rs 25 crore from Yash and tells DV nothing about tge situation.She leaves for Panchgani with advait and tells the half truth to him and cries a lot in the car.The next day when she reaches panchgani with her brother, she tells everyone that DV will not come back anymore and she has taken Rs 25 crore from his father.But she does not tell the truth to everyone.Dv calls saachi to know the truth but she tells him that after seeing the digits in the cheque she could not stop herself to take it.DV tells her that he has not seen such a human being in his life who can sell his/her love and disconnects the call.
